Transpac A Race for the Ages
The Transpac yacht race is one of the world's most well-known, prestigious races. Its history goes back to King David Kalakaua, who envisioned a yacht race that would excite people to come to Hawaii. Today, more than 70 yachts from around the world race from Los Angeles to the Diamond Head lighthouse on the island of Oahu. "Transpac: A Race for the Ages" follows two crews, one veteran crew aboard "Stags Leap/Chasch Mer" and the other aboard "On The Edge of Destiny" with the youngest crew ever to sail a Transpac race.
